Privacy
In plain English, because a privacy policy nobody can read isn't much of a policy. Last updated August 2026.
We collect what we need to run your page, take payments and send your messages. We don't sell it. Artists own their own fan lists and can download them at any time. You can delete everything by asking.
Hypetize, Inc. operates hypetize.com. You can reach us at privacy@hypetize.com about anything on this page.
We collect your name, email address, password, the content you upload, and the payment details you give our payment provider. We use it to run your account, take payments on your behalf, pay you, and send you service messages.
You are the owner of your fan data. We process it for you and we don't market to your fans on our own behalf.
When you unlock something, buy something, submit to a queue, join a membership or send hype, we collect your name, email, sometimes your phone number and city, and a record of what you did. That information is shared with the artist you interacted with — that's the whole point of it.
The artist can email you, and text you if you agreed to that separately. Every message has a way to stop it. You can also email us and we'll remove you.
Card details never touch our servers. Payments are handled by Stripe, who process them under their own privacy terms. We store a record of the transaction — amount, date, what it was for — not your card number.
Only the companies that help us run the service: our payment processor, our email and messaging providers, our hosting and analytics providers, and our fulfilment partners when a physical item ships. Each of them only gets what they need.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
If you're in the UK or EU, you have these rights under GDPR and you can complain to your local data protection authority if we get it wrong. If you're in California, you have similar rights under the CCPA.
While your account is open, and for a period afterwards so you can come back or export. Transaction records are kept for as long as tax law requires. Deleted accounts have their personal data removed after 90 days.
Encrypted in transit and at rest, access limited to the people who need it, and regular backups. No system is perfect, and if something happens that affects you we will tell you rather than hope you don't notice.
Hypetize isn't intended for under-13s. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian involved before they can receive payouts, because payment accounts require it.
If we change anything meaningful here we'll email you before it takes effect.
This is a plain-English draft, not legal advice. Have a lawyer review it against your actual data practices, your entity details and the jurisdictions you operate in — particularly if you take payments from the EU or UK. Fill in your registered company address, which most privacy laws require you to publish.
